Rabbits are excellent pets to keep both for children and adults looking for animals that take very little care. You may want to keep your rabbit indoors, which they are ideal for and can live very happily as a house pet. Although rabbits do not take a great deal of care, you will need to remember that they need attention and affection daily. If you ignore your rabbit, and give them nothing to play with, they will become very unhappy.

Toys for rabbits vary greatly depending on what you are looking for and your budget. Rabbits love to chew, and you will need to bear this in mind when you are looking at the different toys available. Chewing is essential for your rabbit's teeth, and they will do it, whether you provide something for them to chew or not. This could be the side of the hutch, their food bowl, or your chosen toy, so you need to ensure that all items are safe.

Rabbits tend to express themselves through play, and you will see your rabbit come to life when they are running around releasing their excess energy. They can be very amusing to watch, and will spend hours playing with their best rabbit toy. Rabbits also love to dig, and although this may not be convenient for your garden, there are items that you can buy that will help. Providing them with a box filled with shredded paper or hay will help with their digging urges.

Purchasing different toys for your rabbit will help them to stay physically fit and mentally active. You will see a difference in your rabbit as soon as you give them a rabbit toy, as they explore and see what they can do with the toy to keep amused. Bored rabbits will become overweight and depressed as they have nothing to do. If you do not provide your rabbit with anything to play with, they can become very ill. As with any pet you have to provide a number of items to keep them happy and healthy.

There are a huge number of items that you have lying around the house which can be used as rabbit toys, saving you money. The shop bought toys for rabbits are great; however, they can be expensive especially if your rabbit chews them up quickly. You should try to be as creative as possible, and give your rabbit as much choice as you can. Whatever items you decide on they need to be safe for your rabbit to chew. If you are in any doubt you should not use the item and look for something that you know is safe.

Pine cones, toilet roll inserts, parrot toys, baby rattles and rings and hard cat balls are all excellent toys for rabbits. Your rabbit will love the huge array of different items and will love having something to play with when you are not there. All rabbits are different; therefore, you have to look at what they enjoy playing with. Some rabbits prefer paper and others like balls; your rabbit will soon let you know which toy they prefer.

Providing a rabbit toy is essential for you to relieve the boredom your rabbit is experiencing, however, the best toy they can have is you. Rabbits love attention and will respond well to human contact and affection. Spending time with your rabbit is very important, and you will be surprised how easily you can play with the rabbit.

Playing catch with your rabbit is a great way to spend time bonding and having fun together. Many people think that rabbits are boring creatures; however, this is simply not the case. Provide the rabbit toy ideas and give them some of your time throughout the day and they will have a great time. They will love to play with you, your children, other pets and their favorite rabbit toy.
