Why do Rabbits Have One Ear Up and One Ear Down

Why do they have one ear up and one ear down and what does it mean to rabbits? What does it mean to them because we are confused?

Rabbits have been cross bred for many years to create unique breeds. You always have the possibility that the genes will not be passed on in such a way that breed characteristics are maintained.

Some characteristics are more difficult to maintain than others.

Having one ear up and one ear down is a common occurrence. It is not harmful to the rabbit.

When the offspring of two purebreds does not have all the correct characteristics of the breed, it is said to be a throwback.

If you are crossbreeding, you take your chances.
